The research aimed to identify potential words in the Indonesian language and sought explain why these were not included vocabulary lists or difficult realize natural conversations. In order achieve goals, data collected using introspection, documentation, interview methods. Furthermore, analyzed a generative morphology approach, mainly related concepts of words. According each has (1) List Morphemes (LM), (2) Word Formation Rules (WFR), (3) Filter (F). WFR stated that every was capable producing new words, yet all those could easily pass through filter enter lexicon actual used real life. discussed restricted showing morpho-syntactic interconnection among affixes. results indicate numerous are constructed out such affixal interconnection. However, do surface for two reasons: first, because fail compete with others compensate their absence; second, manifest due low frequency everyday speech.
